Suction cup is good and holds fine. have used it in a 2003 ford escape and a 1999 dodge ram. fits good and positions head unit good in each car. agree with another reviewer that the "mounting platform, however, is held to the stem via ball and socket style mount, not the tightening knob as illustrated. There is a screw which tightens the ball mechanism."
Very good value and works great.
