(More customer reviews)I use the GPS receiver for Orion Mounts on my Orion Atlas CQ-G mount. Most of the time the mount recognizes it immediately and begins the setup routine with the exact date, time and location imbedded in the system. When it works this way, it is pretty much transparent.
However, from time to time, and I can't discern a reason, the mount does not recognize the GPS Receiver, and I have to unplug it and replug it, then restart the system. This is not a major issue, but I am concerned that it may not be reliable at a time when I need it the most.
I hav not used it hooked into my computer, so I cannot comment on how well that works.
