(More customer reviews)Nice unit, until you drive at night. The blue face lighting is ridiculously bright, literally creating a glaring light source in the dash. The display dims, but the very bright buttons on the left do not. Avoid these units until this fault is addressed!!
Otherwise, the units perform as promised, with just a few hickups in the control interface. For iPod control (the reason I bought mine) it does an acceptable job, but scrolls with a twist of the wrist, some three titles at a time. It takes several minutes to scroll through to an album in the center of the alphabet, and you have to keep on top of the task or it quickly flips back to the current song display losing your work. The intuitive control behavior would have been that holding the joystick style control downward would have scrolled at an increasing rate to speed down a list.

Still, compared to others on the market, the $270 Premier version of this model of Pioneer (mine) is quite acceptable in most other respects: two adjustable EQs to go with the presets, understands mp3 AND AAC (apple's mp4), and can play them off a CD as easily as off an ipod.
Oh, one other comment: ironically, in daytime, it is hard not to get rear window reflection on the screen, washing out the tiny clock display along the top of the 3 line display. There are few options, such as toggling the larger centered clock display without major screen configuring. Another oversight/bug in what could have been a well thought out design.
